Tincup from Cumberland Pass at IntentionallyLost.com
The idyllic mining town of Tincup Colorado is no longer a ghost town. It is under several feet of snow for about five months a year but that doesn't keep people from building new cabins here and all down the valley. Many of the families who live here still hold mining claims in the Gunnison National Forest. This is a place I've been nearly every summer since I was maybe four years old. This is where I learned to ride trails, fish and hike. It's a good starter spot to practice before wandering out to the rest of the world. It's also a good place to revisit often.
